1983년 대구 중앙로에 위치한 중앙미술관에서 출발하여 1987년에 중앙갤러리로 상호 변경하여 재개관한 상업화랑입니다.
매년 다수의 국내 유명 원로, 중진작가의 기획전과 초대전을 열었으며, 창의성과 역량이 돋보이는 작가를 발굴하여 대중적으로 알리는 데 힘쓰고 있습니다. 또한 미술에 대한 정보를 정확히 파악해 작가와 애호가 사이에 실리 있는 교량 역할을 하고 있으며, 서양 문화에 가려 가볍게 다루어지거나 혹은 잊혀 가는 한국 근대 회화를 주목하며 꾸준히 취급하고 있습니다.

JOONGANG GALLERY was launched as a member of galleries association of Korea in 1987. It has been having a number of veteran artists exhibition and makes an effort to discover new talented artists in the art world. JOONGANG GALLERY comprehends information on the art and plays a vital role between artist and a devotee and also deals with modern Korean paintings consistently which is getting forgotten in our mind.
